Walnut Trails Elementary School
Walnut Trails Elementary School opened in August 2004, with Mrs. Kathleen Cheshareck as our principal. Our first year's enrollment was 517 students in Pre-K through fifth grade. Ten years later, we are starting the school year with 512 students in grades K-4. Over the years, our combined enrollment totaled over 6,000 students!
Walnut Trails had the honor of being the first school in District 201 to win the Illinois Academic Achievement Award in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The students, teachers, and parents continually strive to make Walnut Trails an excellent environment for learning and student growth. We are proud of each student that has passed through Walnut Trails and wish you all continued success.
As part of our anniversary activities, we would like to know what our former students are doing now. Please take a few moments to fill out the questionnaire!
